The Women's Lobby of Colorado is an endorsing organization of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. The Campaign is devoted shifting the cosmetics market toward safer products, advocating for smarter laws that protect our health from toxic chemicals, and encouraging innovation of safer alternatives. On February 3, 2010, House Bill 1248, the "Safe Personal Care Products Act," was introduced into the Colorado State Legislature. The act would prohibit manufacturers from distributing or selling in Colorado personal care products that contain known and probable carcinogens and reproductive toxins.
